Every Epoxy Flooring Installation Looks Like a Professional High End Floor Coating
The Roll On Rock® Epoxy Flake Flooring System is a very easy to install epoxy flake floor coating that is applied over garage concrete floors, commercial concrete floors and industrial concrete floors. The Roll On Rock® Epoxy Flake Flooring kits include enough flake to broadcast them over the wet epoxy flooring to the point of rejection. This installation process allows the installer to throw the flake onto the wet epoxy flooring to the point where the floor is entirely covered up by the flake. This results in a beautiful epoxy floor coating that looks great every time because the installer scrapes off the loose flake and is left with a uniform blanket of flake on the entire concrete floor. There are 50 lbs. of flake included in every two-car garage kit and that ratio is kept as the square-footage increases so every installation will look great, regardless of footage.
Direct to Concrete Epoxy Flooring Wicks Deep into the Concrete for Lifetime Adhesion
4195 is a Direct-to-Concrete Epoxy Floor Coating designed specifically for receiving the vinyl chips that are used to create the Roll on Rock® Epoxy Flake Flooring System. 4195 Epoxy wicks deep into the concrete floor and bonds so well that you can expect to get over eight pounds of MVE blocking power. That is due to the 4195 Epoxy having up to three times more adhesion than other epoxy floor and polyaspartic coatings. 4195 Epoxy provides plenty of time for the installer to apply the flake. The ideal chipping window is between 15 and 45 minutes of application.
Number One Clear Sealer Topcoat Choice for Garage Floors, Commercial Flooring and Industrial Floors
The 5073 Clear Polyurea Flooring Sealer is the most popular clear topcoat that we have. It is widely used over the Roll on Rock® Epoxy Flake Flooring System that is designed to be used over concrete floors. The water-clear, high-gloss and high-build film of the 5073 provides a beautiful topcoat finish that will look great for years. The chemical backbone of the 5073 Polyurea is designed to be extremely scratch resistant while also having great chemically resistant properties. The scratch resistance built into the clear topcoat will maintain its gloss for a longer period of time when compared to other concrete floor coating products. 5073 Polyurea has been formulated to be one of the easiest polyureas to apply by roller and brush, making it the ideal topcoat to use over epoxy flake concrete floor coatings. It also dries fast. In most cases you can return the items to your garage several hours after the topcoat has been applied and the car can be parked on it in a day or two. We offer a retarder that will extend the potlife which can be really helpful for new installers.
Extra High-Build Intermediate Coat is Easy to Apply and Dries Fast
Use our optional 5205 Hybrid Ultra-Fast-Drying Intermediate Coat when a luxurious ultra-high-build finish is desired. 5205 is a proprietary water-clear polyurea formula that is designed for easy installation and speed. It has a long potlife of up to 60 minutes in real world conditions, yet it dries in 30 minutes or less after it is applied over the epoxy flake system. Apply one coat of the 5205 over the epoxy flake after it has been scrapped. This will seal the epoxy flake and be dry in about 30-60 minutes, allowing the installer to apply the second and final epoxy flooring topcoat. This provides a higher build and finish since all of the 5073 Polyurea topcoat resides on the surface (the 5205 penetrates the surface and acts as a primer seal coat). When used with 5073 a high-gloss high-build floor finish can be accomplished within hours, not days. 5073 is usually dry in two hours and can be walked on soon after that or driven on the next day. Also, both the 5205 and the 5073 are non-yellowing material so use over exterior surfaces will not be a problem.
One-Day Epoxy Flake Install and UV Inhibitor Packs
The Roll On Rock® Epoxy Flake Flooring System can be accelerated so it can be installed over a concrete floor in one day. The accelerator causes the epoxy flooring to dry to a hard state so the flake can be scraped in as little as two to three hours and be ready for the clear epoxy flooring topcoat. We also offer UV packs that can be mixed with the 5073 Polyurea topcoat that will allow it to be installed outside and this will add many more years of UV exposure to its life.
The Roll On Rock® Epoxy Flake Flooring System Products are ultra-low VOC coatings and they are approved for use in the toughest AQMD districts in the United States and Canada. 5205 has 4 VOC, 4195 Epoxy Flooring has 13 VOC and 5073 Polyurea Clear Topcoat has 11 VOC.
The Roll On Rock® Epoxy Flake Flooring System is extremely chemical resistant and hot tire resistant. Hot tires will not stain the 5073 Polyurea topcoat used in the Roll On Rock® Epoxy Flake Flooring System. The following chemicals were shown to have no effect on 5073 in a chemical staining test: acetone, xylene, 10% HCL, ammonia, degreaser, Liquid Plummer®, vinegar, Clorox, Windex, motor oil, gasoline, Skydrol and hot tire. We primarily sell to professional installers who do multiple garage flooring installations per week. We also sell to do it yourselfers who are confident in their abilities and we feel that if you are comfortable painting the interior of a room in a home then you should be at ease installing this system. Our 4195 Epoxy floor coating is the base coat which you will be throwing the flake onto while it is wet. It is important for you to note that this is not a standard concrete floor coating epoxy, we have formulated it to wick deep into the concrete so it provides fantastic long term adhesion. This is why we can warranty it against failure even when it is applied to concrete surfaces that have more than 3 lbs of MVE (moisture vapor emission pressure that pushes up on the coating, commonly linked to flooring failures). There are 10’s of millions of square feet of 4195 direct to concrete flooring epoxy installed around the world without failures. It is also important for you to note that we provide a lot of flake (at least 50lbs for a 2 car garage). This is so you can broadcast (throw) an entire layer of the flake of the wet epoxy floor coating. When doing it this way you will find that the flake sticks to 95%+ of the epoxy and the remaining exposed epoxy (if any) is of a color that blends in with the flake. Offering you adequate flake is how you can get a beautiful garage floor finish that looks like a professional has installed it because that is how most professional installers do it. A lot of professional garage flooring installers use our 5205 when applying an optional build coat to the garage floor coating. They use 5205 because it has a long potlife, yet it dries fast when applied over the flake, allowing the installer to apply the final topcoat over it in about an hour which will leave an extra thick topcoat finish that looks incredible! This is not a requirement because the standard topcoats we offer are all considered to be high solids materials which will leave a nice build so only use the optional 5205 build coat if you really want an extra luxurious looking floor. Lastly, we offer several choices with regards to topcoat and our base price includes a Polyaspartic topcoat that is designed for the garage floor. The Polyaspartic is famous for its quick dry time which is why it is becoming popular. Our number 1 Selling Garage Floor Coating Topcoat is our Polyurea 5073, it dries fast like the Polyaspartic and it has better resistance qualities making it the choice of professional garage floor and industrial floor coating installers. We also offer that product in a slower drying version that has a little more open time in the bucket (it still dries on the floor fast so be sure to roll it out evenly as you go or you may wind up with lap marks). Our 5400 is the easiest topcoat to apply, it is a Waterbased chemical resistant urethane that has performance that is as good or better than the old school solvent based urethanes. Additionally, it is a white material when mixed which makes it really easy to see if it has been applied evenly over the garage floor coating and then it dries to a clear state in about an hour. We recommend that cars remain off of the 5400 for 3 days and 2 days for the other garage flooring topcoat options. Listed below is what comes with our standard Garage Flooring Kit by size.
