OLD SCHOOL CHEMICAL RESISTANT URETHANE

The 5300 Versa-Thane Series of Chemical Resistant Urethanes range in VOC levels of 100 to 250.  For example 5325 Urethane has a 250 VOC level while 5310 has a low VOC of 100 making it legal for use over industrial floors in the SCAQMD district which has the toughest regulations in the country.  Both Urethanes are formulated to have great chemical and abrasion resistant properties when applied over an industrial floor surface.  You can expect a potlife of 30 minutes or more and a tack free dry time of about 4 hours. The 5300 series is suited as an economical high gloss flooring topcoat for industrial environments that need a high degree of chemical and abrasion resistance.

WATERBASED CHEMICAL RESISTANT URETHANE COATING

The 5400 series is a High Performance WaterBased Chemical Resistant Urethane Coating that can be applied directly to a Concrete Flooring Surface.  5400 Urethane has been formulated to have properties equal to or better than the solventborne 5300 series.  The 5400 Urethane Concrete Floor Coating will provide all of the benefits of the 5300 series but without the odor or flammability issues associated with it. 5400 comes in a clear and pigmented version and can be applied to bare concrete in 2 coats without the need for a primer.  The Urethane Coating is easy to apply since it goes on white and dries clear making holidays a thing of the past.  You can also apply the 5400  Waterbased Chemical Resistant Urethane as thick as 10 wet mils without getting any film property deformations while most other Waterbased urethanes on the market are limited to 5 wet mils.  5400 is ideally suited for an inexpensive tough pigmented coating over bare concrete where abrasion resistance and non yellowing are important and also as a clear topcoat over a flaked epoxy or stained concrete floor.
