Interior residential floor question 1 Year, 6 Months ago

Hello, I have 335 sq ft of interior floor space that I would like to finish with a stamped cementious overlay.
The floor is residential construction over a 3ft crawl space and consists of 2"x10" joists 16" OC (longest unsupported span is 10ft), 3/4" TG plywood screwed/glued, with a top layer of 5/8 CDX plywood screwed down with galv screws.
I would like to use your "Metal Lath Cement" product over the plywood as an underlayment and then finish with a stamp-able finish.
Questions:
1. I assume I should use a metal lath stapled to the plywood, do I need to use a primer of some kind or roof felt over the plywood?
2. What kind of working time do I have with the Metal Lath Cement once mixed?
3. Can you please quote me the amount of each material needed for this size project?
Thank you in advance for your assistance!
Rob

Rob,
Sounds like the wood deck is well built. The felt under the stapled lath is a very good idea, if the deck will be getting alot of water on it. The felt isn't required, but it's not a bad idea. Is this
I will put together a quote this am for you. basically you will be installing the lath and MLC day one, then apply the 4100 primer w/ a sand broadcast to rejection. Sweep the sand & leaf blow off the loose sand. Now your ready to apply the stamp mix over the sand layer.
After stamping you will most likely apply a coat of stain & then clear coat seal.
Materials cost, shipping included = $ 1344 ( price includes materials needed + most required application tools. You will still need a pump sprayer, which we carry and stamps, which we can also get for you, or you can rent the stamps locally.)
Good Luck!

Thanks for the quick reply Mike. I have a couple of questions:
1. This is an interior Kitchen/Dining room floor and will not see any moisture other than a damp mop occasionally, so is the primer coat required for water proofing (or is it needed to achieve a good bond between the base coat and the stamp mix)In other words is it "required" in a dry environment?
2. The total cost seemed higher than I anticipated, so maybe you included the sand, metal lath, etc (I was planning on buying those locally)
Can you give me an itemized quote so I can see what I actually need to order and what I already have or can purchase locally?
Thanks for your help!

Rob,
Yes, the primer is required for bonding the stamp mix down to the MLC layer. Yes, I included the lath ( 2 bundles @ $123.36 for 350 sq ft worth) , but not the silica sand for the broadcast, which you will need about 100 lb of # 20 silica sand. I also included the 5/8 crown staples @ $32 for a box.
The quote was:
• Lath + staples
• MLC cement layer
• 4100 primer
• Stamp mix bags + polymer + release agent
• 1 Gauge rake + cams
• 1 gal stain
• 2 gal clear sealer – Urethane
• 2 - 3” paint brushes
• 2 9 “ rollers
• 1 - 9 “ frame
• 1 set spiked shoes
I’ll send you a quote, ignore the name at the top, as I just used an acct that’s already in our system @ distributor pricing…
Have you considered maybe another one of our Roll on Rock systems? These run about $1 a sq ft.
Thank You,
