What is the difference between Versatile's 4800 100% Solids Industrial Floor Epoxy and Versatile's 4195 Pigmented Penetrative Epoxy Primer-Sealer?

I am intending to cover brand new (pored ~45 days ago) detached garage floor, so fumes are no concern.

I am considering a darker solid color like Charcoal, would I still have a yellowing issue, if I do not apply a clear Polyurea over the top?

Check the data sheets on this web site about the UV resistance for 4800 and 4195. Neither have exceptional UV resistance. They really require a 100% coverage of chips to protect the underlying epoxy from UV and a tough sealer like 5073.

If you are going to do a monochrome floor, I'd suggest that you look at the 5400 series products. They are highly UV resistant. It does take extra time and labor to do a monochrome surface since there will not be any chips to cover the flaws.

Thank you - I will look more into the 5400 Series. It might be what I am looking for.

Look up the specs of the 5010, I beleive this is what you are looking for. Just make sure you have no open flames.

It is a detached Garage that does not even have electricity yet, so no open flames.

What is the square footage that 1.5 Gal of 5010 will cover?

Testimonials

Hi John-  Thank you so much for your advice and for patiently answering all my questions regarding my application of Roll on Rock 2 to my home garage floor.  As you know, I was an inexperienced DYI home applicator but your product was easy to apply and looks GREAT!  The customer service was exceptional and I love the new flooring.  This product is infinitely better than the home store brands.  Thank You Again!!
